Beatrijs is a established clinician with extensive experience in educational and psychological settings across four continents. With substantial experience working with children, adolescents, and families, she specializes in providing expert parenting support in her professional practice.

As each person and situation is unique, she uses an eclectic approach to assessment, counselling and therapy that ensures that strategies are tailored to the individual needs of the client. Beatrijs has a particular interest in attending to the impact of child and developmental issues within the family. Beatrijs believes in a systemic approach, using evidenced based approaches and will work collaboratively with outside referrers.

Beatrijs obtained her ‘Licentiaat in de Pedagogische Wetenschappen’ at the Catholic University in Louvain, Belgium. Her degree is a combined Educational Psychology and Applied Clinical Psychology that has been recognized by the Psychology Board of Australia. She is able to provide specialist psychological therapy services as determined by Medicare. In addition she offers Non-Directive Pregnancy Support.

She has taken pride in her involvement in a variety of large-scale initiatives, such as the nationwide capacity building in schools with KidsMatter Primary and Be You, as well as Hornsby Healthy Kids, a community initiative, and comprehensive support for training and supervising clinicians within the Mid North Coast Local Health District following the restructuring of health services for the 0-12 age group, a project delivered by the team at Spencer Health.

 Guided by a compassionate and client-centred philosophy, Beatrijs cultivates a supportive environment that nurtures growth and well-being. Her dedication to understanding the intricacies of each person and situation underscores her commitment to facilitating positive change in the lives of her clients. Addressing a wide range of challenges, Beatrijs specialises in anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, behavioural issues, parenting challenges, self-harm, eating disorders, and self-esteem concerns, with a focus on clients aged 15 and above.
